Media Player with Dynamic Logo!
Made some progress last night with the Drupal Media Player that I blogged about recently. Dynamic logos!
This was created with an hour of tweaking the OpenLaszlo XML, and then pasting the following into this node: print theme('media_player_player', 'http://spindowners.com/files.dm/videos/20051210-w50s.flv', array('logo' => '/sites/aaronwinborn.com/files/my-logo.png');
Couldn't be simpler! I see a dev release as soon as we have an icon for the play button!
Of course, playlists and the like will take more. We've talked about including several players, including a light-weight and one with all the bells & whistles, and have the module call the proper one according to passed parameters.

This is a great module, and I have implemented successfully in business sites like this http://aelis.es, but you should be aware that due to some nasty Windows vista problems/features when rendering text, if you use this module with a view that includes text, and want to activate de fade option (btw, really cool), all your Vista users will see how the text pixels after the first transition...
So this nasty thing avoid the use of fading transitions for almost every view... or to say "go away, this site is for people with a decent OS" to Vista users :-) -

Interesting art - there is a lot of good artwork out there by relative unknowns - it's a pity the artworld has such a snobbish reputation which I think puts off a lot of people taking up art ("I'll never be recognised / how to please the critics?") or enjoying it at face value ("Should I like this painting? So many art critics hated it, maybe I should too").
